Jun 30, 2025 - Jul 4, 2025
Since 1927, the Fourth of July in Steamboat Springs has celebrated more than national pride – it's an annual opportunity for the Yampa Valley community to honor our Western heritage.
The day is celebrated with fun for all. Events like the largest Pro Rodeo event of the summer and a hometown parade are deep-rooted Independence Day traditions we're excited to bring back again this year.
Book online or call our reservations department (888) 870-3397 to book this special.
Cowboys' Roundup Days is celebrating again in true western fashion! The event will include a weekend full of family-friendly activities as well as the Pro Rodeo Series with four consecutive rodeos on July 3 - 6.
July 4 | 10 AM | Lincoln Ave. between 6th and 10th St.
This year's parade, led by grand marshals Donny and Jackie Hayes, will include 40+ floats registered by local businesses and organizations. Please review the following information to be prepared for this fun event!
Steamboat Springs will not offer a firework display as part of its Independence Day Celebration. Colorado’s low humidity has its perks but can also create dry conditions. Our community places a high value on wildfire prevention, and we thank visitors and residents in advance for not using fireworks in Steamboat Springs this Fourth of July. Learn more about preventing wildfires.
Multiple city streets from 12th to 5th St. will be closed from 6 AM to 2 PM on July 4, so please plan accordingly. The traffic plan will divert eastbound traffic to Yampa St. and westbound traffic to Oak St. Parking will be extremely limited downtown; we recommend carpooling and parking at the Rodeo Grounds, Howelsen Hill, Steamboat Springs High School, or the Stockbridge Transit Center (see bus schedules here). The police department will be ticketing for failure to follow special event parking.
Expect traffic delays due to street closures and the alternate traffic route. The traffic detour is in place to ensure that emergency vehicles can quickly and safely navigate through the town in case of emergency. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep everyone safe.
